Happy Birthday to… us! It’s hard to believe that it’s been 5 years since opening Doobie Nights. We have so much to celebrate and even more to be grateful for!
The Doobie Nights story goes back much further than the 5 years since we opened our doors, starting as a tiny seed in the minds of a group of Sonoma County locals who all loved cannabis and wanted to create a truly unique experience for the community. It took several years to find the location, secure a lease, lay down plans and then build out the elaborate interior that makes our store so special before we could finally open and show everyone what we’d been building.
We hosted an Emerald Cup afterparty in December 2019, and shortly afterwards had our soft opening, but it was January 2020 when we officially opened our doors and began bringing the best selection of weed to the people of Santa Rosa.
It’s a bit surreal to think back on all that we’ve been through in that time – and all that the entire world has been through! From pandemic shutdowns and pivoting to curbside pickup only in early 2020 to surviving multiple break-ins and setbacks over the years, from hosting farmers’ markets to Hall of Flowers afterparties, with new faces and lots of changes and rearranges along the way, we are grateful to still be here riding the waves of a wild industry in Santa Rosa. We would not be here today without the support and love of our customers, partners, and local Sonoma County cannabis community – THANK YOU!
While a lot of things have changed over our five years in business, the values that Doobie Nights is based on have not. We still want to be your favorite local hook-up. We want you to have a great time every time you walk through our doors, and continuously find great local and statewide products that fit your needs and make your life better. We want to host fun events that get people together and showcase the best cannabis that Sonoma County and California have to offer on our shelves.
We’ve had such a great team of hard working and creative people over the last five years, and while we miss those who have moved on, we count ourselves very lucky to still have a core crew who have been with us since the beginning. They have been joined by so many amazing additions who are always happy to help our valued customers. We owe our hard-earned success and tenacity to our talented team. Thank you to everyone who has worked for or with us – you set the vibe at Doobie Nights and you’re the beating heart of our humble store.
